咏鹅 


鹅，鹅，鹅，

曲项向天歌。

白毛浮绿水，

红掌拨清波。



The goose 

Neck arching 

towards the heavens sings. 

Its white feathered body 

bobs on the lake-so-green 

Its webbed red feet scull 

left, 

right, 

left, 

right, 

stirring just the underside 

of these clear, calm waters.
